Los Tamales Jazz Band is on a mission to highlight the genre-defying, worldwide influence of jazz music. Regardless of how old you are or what languages you speak, Los Tamales will have even your most reserved guests dancing and singing along with our infectious grooves. Los Tamales seamlessly blends unique arrangements of popular hits and original compositions to create a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
Los Tamales’ expertise and dynamic skillset has afforded them an audience at festivals like Villapalooza in August 2024 and the Kankakee Hispanic Heritage Festival in September 2025. Their debut single “Tamales a La Carte,” has aired on prominent jazz radio stations like 90.9 WDCB Jazz in Chicago and 88.5 KBEM-FM in Minneapolis.

In honor of local artist and one of our earliest fans Jairus Castañeda’s recent passing, we will be performing at a tribute event in Orland Park.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Jairus’ family.
